Setting Options

You are allowed to set system options with the Options dialog.

To set the options:

Select Options from the Tools menu. The application displays the Options dialog. It contains three tabs.

1. Select the General tab to set the General options.

The General tab elements are described below:

Units:

From this combo box choose a measurement system. The possible options are: Inches, Metrics. Be sure that you use the needed measurement system!

Nudge step:

Defines the step for moving selected objects with the help of arrow keys on your keyboard.

Auto-backup every:

If this option is selected, you can change the auto-backup interval from 1 to 120 minutes.

Make backup on save:

When selected the editor makes a copy of the saved project with a project name and the .bak extension.

Launch Wizard on startup:

When selected the system launches the New Project wizard at startup. This check box is selected by default.

2. Click the Grid & Guidelines tab to set the Grid & Guidelines options.

Show grid:

When selected the application shows the grids

Snap to grid:

Allows you to choose whether to turn the snapping of grids on or off.

Show guidelines:

When selected the application shows the guidelines.

Snap to guidelines:

Allows you to choose whether to turn the snapping of guidelines on or off.

Width:

Allows you to change the width of space between two neighboring grid lines.

Height:

Allows you to change the height of space between two neighboring grid lines.

Color:

Allows you to change the color of the guidelines.

Precision:

Enter the maximum distance for snapping objects to grids.

Color:

Allows you to change the color of the grids.

Show rulers:

Allows you to turn on/off rulers along the left and top borders.

Restore Default:

Click this button to load the default Grid and Guidelines settings.

3. Click the Web tab to set the Web options. This tab allows you to change the default internet environment.

The Web tab elements are described below:

URL:

Contains the list of currently known Internet addresses, which allow you to manage the Internet environment.

Description:

Contains descriptions of currently known Internet addresses, which allow you to manage the Internet environment.

New:

Click this button to create a new URL.

Modify:

Allows you to modify the currently selected URL. Alternatively you can double click the URL.

Delete:

Allows you to delete the currently selected URL. Alternatively you can press the Del key on the keyboard.

Set Default:

Moves selected URL to the top of the URL's list and set it as the default site to connect to.

When you click the New or Modify button, the Web Site dialog appears.

The Web Site dialog elements are described below:

URL:

Here enter a non-blank URL.

Description:

In this box enter text describing the current Internet address.

4. Select the Printing tab to set the Print options. Default paper size is specified during the installation procedure. This tab allows you to change the default paper size.

Letter paper (USA):

Select this option to print on the Letter paper.

A4 paper (Europe):

Select this option to print on the A4 paper.

5. Select the Integration tab to set the Integration options. The MediaFACE 4.0 integration state is set during the installation procedure. You can enable or disable the integration on this tab.

Enable Integration:

Select this option to enable the MediaFACE 4.0 Integration.

Disable Integration:

Select this option to disable the MediaFACE 4.0 Integration.

Note: MediaFACE 4.0 integration components must be installed in order to work with this feature.

6. To complete the operation click OK. The Options dialog will close. All the changes in the dialog will be applied.
